New Sigma Discount Code for September 2013

We are getting closer to the end of 2013, is it me or did this year just fly by?! Sigma Beauty has a new discount code for September - LJW2013. You can use this code to buy some new brushes, makeup and brow products, or items to clean and maintain your brushes.

In my last order I received the mini spa glove and my free gift with $30 or more purchase, so I am very tempted to purchase the full size Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove. The mini spa glove made cleaning my brushes so much easier and quicker! Then I used my Sigma Dry'n Shape to dry my brushes.

You can now purchase brushes from the Extravaganza Complete Kit individually, which they sell currently - but these have the gold ferrules.

I love all of my Sigma items, I am never disappointed with anything I have purchased from them over the last 3 years. Let me know what you love from Sigma!

Until next time XO

Christmas in July: 20% off Sigma Beauty and Haul!

Sigma Beauty has given their affiliates a special 20% off discount code to share with their followers and a bonafide user of Sigma products I am sharing this code with you. The code is SBAP20 and will be valid for one week, starting tomorrow July 22nd at midnight (CST) and ending Monday, July 29th at midnight (CST).

I recently order some Sigma Products and thought this would be a great opportunity to share my thoughts on my order. First off, the free gift with $30 or more purchase is great! I have enough travel E25, E05 and eyeshadow samples - the free gift this month is a mini Spa Glove in one of four colors. I was super excited about this since I have been contemplating purchasing the Spa Brush Cleaning Glove.

Sigma recently started selling their Performance Eyes Kit individually, so I picked up 3 brushes from the set: E21, E46, and E56

The E21 (Smudge Brush) is the little sister of the E20 (Short Shader). The E20 has always been my favorite brush for smudging liner or shadow onto the lid or lower lash line, but the E21 has replaced it for the lower lash line. This brush is amazing for smudging!

The E46 (Shader - Inner Corner) and E56 (Shader - Lid) have been a disappointment, unless I just don't fully understand how these are supposed to work. I have tried these brushes for the last two weeks and not been satisfied with the results. I do not have super small eyes, but they are not big, so I thought these would be great - no they are not. But who knows, I may figure these out and love them one day.

The last brushes I picked up were just extras, an E35 and E40 - both Tapered Blending brushes. I use these brushes daily, so its nice to have extras.

The last item I picked up is the Brow Kit Value Set in Medium, they have four shades/sets to choose from. The set includes 5 essentials for flawless brows, at a great price point. For $48 ($60 value) you will get the following:
I have been very happy with all of my Sigma products, if I wasn't I would not continue to purchase or endorse the brand. I hope you take advantage of the 20% off sale, they have some great makeup, brow and brush products!

Until next time XO

From this collection, I only picked up three items - 2 lipsticks and one paint pot.
I am a sucker for paint pots, but I've tried Let's Skate and Fancy Frosting was too frosty for me. So I picked up Eclair, but Mooncake was very promising. These are the new pro longwear formula, which to be honest I have never had an issue with the length of time my current paint pots last. I use Painterly daily with no creasing or fading. Eclair is a chocolate brown with a gold shimmer and is so creamy, but lasts so long!
Price: $18.50

I really liked 3 of the 4 lipsticks in the collection, however the really dark one is just not me - so I only picked up two. I chose Lavender Whip and Pure Decoration. I am loving both of these colors, they are both cremesheen finish, which I love, and their colors are so perfect. Lavender Whip is nothing like anything I own, and not so lilac like the Viva Glam Nicki 2 - it is a little more pink based. Pure Decoration is similar to other peach or nude lipsticks, but not - if that makes any sense. I love both and I am pretty sure Lavender Whip will be my spring/summer color.

Review: MAC In Extra Dimension April 2013

MAC has launched a new collection (surprise, surprise) and it is another extra dimension collection. I really liked the first collection released in 2012, which included extra dimension highlighters and eye shadows, and then shadows and highlighters that were released in the holiday 2012 collection So, needless to say I was thoroughly excited to see a new collection of eye shadows, highlighters and blushes!!!
Blushes have never been a part of the extra dimension lineup, so that was the first thing that caught my eye! I picked up 2 blushes and one highlighter from the collection... although, there were some eye shadows that caught my eye.
This collection included 3 extra dimension skinfinishes (highlighters), 5 blushes, and 6 eye shadows. The highlighters in this collection are slightly different than the previous high lighters released, as in they are two-toned and when blended together are amazing. The blushes in this collection are gorgeous, they are matte and have no shimmer/sparkle in them - which is A OK for me.

So the only extra dimension skinfinish I picked up was "Definitely Defined" and is a silvery pink and soft rose with shimmer. It is so gorgeous and I wish they carried these in their permanent line up. They add just the right amount of shimmer or glow, without packing on the glitter.
Price: $30

(No Flash) L-R: Blended, Light, Dark
(Flash) L-R: Blended, Light, Dark
The two blushes I picked up were "Blazing Haute" and "Fiery Impact". "Blazing Haute" is a dirty peach and "Fiery Impact" is a burnt red bronze. I was not initially drawn to "Fiery Impact" based on pictures I had seen online, but when I saw it in person I was in love. I was going to pick up "Flaming Chic" and "Bareness", but when I got my hands on them I just didn't like them as much.
Price: $25

Top to Bottom: Fiery Impact, Blazing Haute
I recently went in to MAC to pick some items from the collection that just release, "Baking Beauties", and I took the time to swatch the eye shadows so I think I might pick up two of the eye shadows. When I went in to pic up my Extra Dimension items I was on a one track mission, so I didnt pay the eye shaodws any attention.

Did you pick anything up from this collection? I know I get excited any time "Extra Dimension" comes  to MAC. Until next time,

XO Shannon

New Sigma Discount Code for April 2013

A new month is here, can you believe it?! Where did March go? Well, April is here and Sigma has a new discount code - AAM2013. And this month with your minimum $30 purchase you will receive a travel size E05 eyeliner brush.

Last month Sigma release their new Resort palette and now they are featuring their brush roll for $18 (regular price $22). I'm thinking of picking up the brush roll... that would certainly come in handy this summer for up coming vacations.

Will you be hauling anything from Sigma this month? Until next time -
XOXO Shannon

Review: INGLOT Blush Palette

So he final installment in my INGLOT series is my blush palette. The Freedom System blush palette is the same size and functionality as the 10 pan eyeshadow palette and the palette itself is the same price, $16. The Freedom System blushes are $10 each for 6 grams of product. The entire palette costs $56, which to me is a steal!

The blushes on the palette are not broken down into finishes, but they do come in shimmer and matte finishes. I picked up four blushes to complete my palette and I could not be happier. They are very pigmented, so a light hand is needed, and they wear all day with minimal fading.

So here is my blush palette!
L-R: 29, 34, 28, 57
L - R: 28 and 57
L-R: 29 and 34
Top to Bottom: 57, 28, 34, 29
Descriptions:

  • 29 - matte, bright cantaloupe
  • 34 - shimmer, light peachy coral
  • 28 - matte rose
  • 57 - shimmer, plum rose
I use the blushes almost daily, they are gorgeous and make my skin look glowy. The only one that I do not use all that frequently is number 29, its a very summer color and needs an extremely light hand for application. I would love to try more of these, but since the website does not have the best swatches and my google search does not return a lot I will wait until I can visit an INGLOT store.

Have you tried or do you own any INGLOT blushes? I would love to know your favorite or which ones to check out.

Until next time XOXO
Shannon

Review: INGLOT Palette # 3

Now for the third and final INGLOT eyeshadow palette installment, I have previously reviewed and swatched my first and second palette.

This third palette has more vibrate, colorful eyeshadows than my previous neutral based palettes. I am loving INGLOT and already have colors picked for another palette.

This palette features two finishes in addition to my normal pearl and matted finishes. I have added an AMC Shine and a Double Sparkle. The AMC Shine gives off more of a sheen or glow effect. The Double Sparkle is more of a matte with sparkle, although the sparkle does not show too much and the color is softer.

So here is palette number three!
Top L-R: P414, P418 M337, P397, AMC S7
Bottom: L-R: P428, P446, DS 465, M349, M351
Top L-R: P414, P418, M337
Bottom L-R: P428, P446, DS 465
Top L-R: M337, P397, AMC S7
Bottom L-R: DS 465, M349, M351
Top to Bottom: AMC S7, P397, M337, P418, P414
Top to Bottom: M351, M349, DS 465, P446, P428

Descriptions:
  • Pearl 414 - metallic blackened green with a sheen
  • Pearl 418 - metallic golden green
  • Matte 337 - soft brown
  • Pearl 397 - metallic champagne
  • AMC Shine 7 - shimmering gold with a sheen
  • Pearl 428 - metallic true blue
  • Pearl 446 - metallic dark purple
  • Double Sparkle 465 - matte purplish brown with golden glitter
  • Matte 349 - brownish grey
  • Matte 351 - soft off white
I have not used all of the colors in this palette yet, but I have used three or four of the colors on a regular basis. I am loving M337 (great for the crease or upper brow), P397 (great for lid, similar to Urban Decay Sin) and AMC S7 (great for the lid or inner corner).

I am loving the AMC Shine shadow I have, so I am definitely going to pick up some more or these in the future.

Until next time XOXO
Shannon
